NEW YORK, October 25, 2021 – PresenceLearning, the leading provider of comprehensive online therapy solutions for schools and beyond, has won two education awards for Therapy Essentials, its complete solution to support school-based special education and counseling teams in delivering services to students in-person or remotely.
Therapy Essentials was named a winner in Tech & Learning’s 2021 Awards of Excellence for Back to School in the Primary (K-6) category. Additionally, Tech Edvocate Awards judges selected Therapy Essentials as the winner in the Best Assistive Technology App or Tool category. With these two recent awards, Therapy Essentials has won a total of six awards since its launch in 2020.
PresenceLearning has onboarded hundreds of school districts across the country and helped educate more than 8,000 school-based clinicians in using Therapy Essentials to serve students through teletherapy or online therapy. It helps districts to diversify and sustain their service delivery model, for the benefit of both students and staff alike. Students gain a personalized and engaging therapy experience to help meet their learning goals and clinicians gain a flexible, online method of identifying student needs and serving students continuously from wherever they and their students are located.
“PresenceLearning is one of the few of its kind that is intentionally working to improve itself,” said Debbie Daugherty MA, CCC-SLP, lead speech-language pathologist for Chatham County Schools in North Carolina, who uses Therapy Essentials to serve students in the district. “Sometimes with school partners…you get what you get. That’s not the case with PresenceLearning. Their team is always asking for feedback and responding with modifications that make the platform more user-friendly.”
