Cookie Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains how PresenceLearning, Inc. (“Presence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies, web beacons, and tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) on presence.com (the “Site”). For further information on how we collect, use, and protect personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

Strictly Necessary Cookies are used automatically because they are required for the Site to function. For all other Cookies, we rely on the choices and controls described in Section 6. By continuing to use the Site without disabling non-essential Cookies through those controls, you consent to our use of the Cookies described in this Policy. You may change or withdraw your choices at any time as described in Section 6.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites function, to remember your preferences, and to give website owners information about how their site is used. “Local storage” and “session storage” serve a similar purpose but are stored by your browser rather than sent with every request; we refer to these collectively as Cookies in this Policy.

3. Cookies We Use

We use Cookies on the Site for the purposes described in this Policy. The Cookies we use include both first-party Cookies (set by us) and third-party Cookies (set by our service providers and partners), together with local and session storage entries. These technologies fall into the categories described below. The specific Cookies in use, and their number, providers, and durations, may change from time to time as we update the Site, the services, and features we offer.

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These Cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to operate, for example, to support basic navigation, maintain security, and distinguish human visitors from bots for fraud and abuse prevention. They are set by us, and by service providers such as Cloudflare, and cannot be switched off through our cookie tool. These Cookies range from short-lived session cookies to cookies that persist for up to approximately twelve months.

3.2 Performance / Analytics Cookies

These Cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site, for example, which pages are visited and how the Site performs, so that we can measure and improve it. They are provided by analytics services and range from session cookies to cookies that persist for up to approximately thirteen months.

3.3 Functionality Cookies

These Cookies remember choices you make and support certain features and forms on the Site, including services provided. They typically persist from less than one day up to approximately six months.

3.4 Targeting / Advertising Cookies

These Cookies are used by our advertising partners and us to deliver and measure advertising and to support embedded social media features. They range from cookies that last about one day to cookies that persist for up to approximately thirteen months.

3.5 Local and Session Storage

In addition to Cookies, the Site uses browser local and session storage, currently classified as Strictly Necessary, to support functions such as widget state, referrer tracking, and template caching. Session storage is cleared when you close your browser, while local storage persists until it is cleared.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some Cookies on the Site are placed by third parties, including Cloudflare, HubSpot, Meta, and LinkedIn. These third parties may use Cookies to collect information about your online activities across different websites. As explained in our Privacy Policy, we do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors ourselves, but by accessing the Site you consent to their collection and use of information through these technologies. We encourage you to review each third party’s own privacy and cookie policies.

5. Cookies and Children

The Site is a corporate/marketing website and is not directed at collecting information from children through these Cookies. Where Presence processes student data on behalf of schools or districts within its educational platform (as opposed to this public Site), that processing is governed separately by our FERPA Compliance and Student Data Privacy Policy and applicable Data Processing Agreements, and not by this Policy.

6. Your Choices and Controls

  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. For instructions, refer to your browser’s help documentation or the following pages: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features on the Site.
  • Cookie banner/preferences: Where presented, you can use the Site’s cookie consent tool to accept or decline non-essential (Performance, Functionality, and Targeting) Cookies. Strictly Necessary Cookies cannot be disabled through this tool because the Site cannot function properly without them.
  • Opt-out tools: You can opt out of interest-based advertising cookies from many providers using the Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Tool or the Digital Advertising Alliance Opt-Out Tool.
  • Do Not Track: Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. There is currently no accepted industry standard for responding to such signals, and we do not currently act on them.
  • California privacy rights: California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, some of which may be exercised through cookie-related controls. See our Privacy Policy for details on exercising these rights.

7. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
