Leveraging ESSER Funding to Improve Student Access

July 5, 2022
Funding Resources

The Department of Education (DOE) is rolling out eagerly awaited guidance about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The resources address the confusion and barriers caused by the pandemic and clarify that, regardless of the modality of delivery (online, in-person, or hybrid), the obligation to screen for learning and attention issues, revise and update individual education plans (IEPs), and serve students with the resources and technology all remain in place. The DOE will not and cannot lessen these responsibilities. They are helping school officials navigate the pandemic’s challenges, enhance the standard of practice necessary to provide a free appropriate public education (FAPE), and effectively utilize the historic ESSER funds.

During our special webinar, Leveraging ESSER Funding To Improve Student Access, the following questions are addressed:

  • How will this new guidance change how school officials fulfill their responsibilities to students with disabilities under federal law?
  • What are funding opportunities available to states and districts to help them with this work?
  • What are some practical things you can do to access these funds?

Please note: Certificates of attendance and/or continuing education opportunities are not available for on-demand webinars. Any references in the videos only apply to the live webinars attendees.
